Candle Body
The body is the thick rectangle of a candlestick, drawn between the open and the close. Its height shows how far price moved between those two points, so a tall body means a large move and a short body means a small one. The color tells you which direction: typically green or hollow when the close is above the open, and red or filled when the close is below.
