Trading is buying and selling assets over shorter time frames, sometimes within a single day, to try to profit from price movements. Compared with long-term investing, trading is more active, usually involves more transactions, and tends to carry more risk and cost. The line between trading and investing is mostly about time horizon and how often you act.
